# Producing reports

At the moment you can generate the following reports with the `isaac` scanner by specifying the appropriate flag at command line invocation

`--report-json`\
Produces a JSON report file of the analysis\
Example: `--report-json=report.json`

`--report-pdf`\
Produces a PDF report file of the analysis\
Example: `--report-pdf=report.pdf`

`--report-sbom`\
Produces a SBOM report, the format is defined based on the extension of the file:

* .json - a standard licensing bible report, JSON format
* .pdf - a standard licensing bible report, PDF format
* .csv - a standard SBOM Meterian report, CSV format
* .cdx.xml - a standard CycloneDX SBOM report, XML format
* .cdx.json - a standard CycloneDX SBOM report, JSON format

Example: `--report-sbom=~/sbom.csv`

`--report-console`\
Emits an analysis report on the console. By default this report will show colours if the target console supports it. Alternatively you can enforce the report to be emitted with colours or without with switches `color` or `nocolor`\
Example: `--report-console`, `--report-console:color`, `--report-console:nocolor`

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.meterian.io/iac-scanner/command-line-parameters/producing-reports.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
